Dr. Kosi earned her doctorate from the School of Education at Johns Hopkins University, and has over 21 years of experience in public education. Dr. Kosi’s dissertation research supported school administrators in the areas of cultural competence, equity, and social justice. She is currently the Coordinator of Culturally Responsive Practices and Anti-Racism Development in Maryland public school system. She has worked as an adjunct professor for McDaniel College and Johns Hopkins University. Currently, she is the co-chair of the Maryland State Department of Education’s Network for Equity and Excellence in Education and is one of the authors for the state policy on Educational Equity. She is also a co founder of the Asian American Educators of Howard County (AAEHC) and serves on the board
Additionally, Dr. Kosi is dedicated to ending stigma with mental health in the South Asian community. She co-founded Counselors Helping (South) Asians/Indians, Inc. (CHAI) a nonprofit organization addressing mental health concerns in the community. She has served on the executive board in Division on South Asian Americans (DoSAA), and the Asian American Psychological Association (AAPA).
