Last week the TCC Team had the privilege to sit down, over Zoom, with an inspiring group of educators and clarity and formative assessment experts. TCC Authors, Paul Bloomberg, Lori Cook, Isaac Wells and Kara Vandas discussed the importance of clarity for learning with South Carolina literacy expert, Felicia Oliver and Kennewick, Washington educator, Nick Bontrager.

The group came prepared with examples and anecdotes to honor the impact our partner schools and systems are having. This Collaborative Conversation was especially timely as educators, students, and parents and guardians continue to identify a lack of clarity as one of the most significant barriers to learning in a pandemic. The shared response of our TCC learning network led to the development of a framework titled, “Clarity for Virtual Teaching and Learning” (C4VTL).

Make time to listen to the discussion, view the examples, and determine how you can replicate their impact in your own classroom, school, or district.
