Students in Staten Island’s PS9 Naples Elementary School are taught to understand success criteria in all of their classes. This way, they know if they are doing well and where they need to improve.

Giving students the vocabulary of success criteria allows them to provide feedback to each other in even the earliest grades.

In this clip, a first grade student shares specific feedback based on a success criteria checklist for bowling in physical education class. The students are articulate and know what to look for.

Imagine how this can improve learning in your school!
