Gina Ferguson earned a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education with endorsements in Psychology, Early Childhood Education, and a specialization in students who are At-Risk. She earned a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Literacy and is currently working on her Doctorate in Higher Education with a dissertation focus on Culturally Responsive Education. Gina earned her National Board Certification in Early Childhood Generalist and was recruited by NEA to facilitate cohorts with teachers K-12 in all content areas.

Gina has worked at most school levels – an intervention preschool, elementary, middle, and college level courses in Education. Most recently she has worked as an instructional coach for literacy, mathematics, science, and social studies, in middle school. She facilitates onsite professional development in Data Analysis to Drive Instruction, Unpacking Standards to create teacher clarity, and the Formative Assessment Process. She has a passion for early identification of learning gaps through formative assessments and designing action plans to directly address learning needs.
