The EmpowerED Learner Series™ has been organized into six professional learning strands to support teachers in creating optimal conditions for holistic learner-centered approaches with an emphasis on student ownership and systemic well being.
Utilizing a strength based approach, The Core Collaborative will use the following data points to ensure we support each school and system at their point of need. This data will support our team in creating a differentiated professional learning plan for your school or system.
Student Voice We utilize student focus groups and surveys to determine quality and clarity of standards based instruction and and the conditions to create a positive climate for learning.
Teacher Voice We utilize data from surveys, focus groups and interviews to determine the level of implementation of our learning services.
Evidence Walks In order to know our impact on learning, we use data from instructional rounds to ensure we are meeting our criteria for success. This data is triangulated with other data points to ensure quality.
Curriculum Assessment We use a curriculum assessment tool to assess the quality of the curriculum to ensure that the curriculum leads to optimal conditions for the formative assessment process to be implemented. This is done with the site instructional leadership team.
Team Trust & Collaboration The team-trust survey is used internally to determine relational trust for effective collaboration. This survey is used to collect data regarding system collaboration as well as grade level or course-alike collaboration.
Achievement Data We use 3 years of achievement data including any formative assessment data the school or system has been collecting to determine our professional learning focus.
