Alison believes design has the power to change the world, and is happy to use that power for good in her role as Creative Director for The Core Collaborative learning network. Before joining the team, she was lead designer at a prominent Denver design studio, working with the Creative Director on branding, packaging, print, and web design. Concurrently, she maintained a personal client base of small business owners and not-for-profit organizations, working on brand development, marketing collateral, social media graphics, and web design.

Alison had a few other careers before becoming a graphic designer. She worked in volunteer management at the Capital Area Food Bank in Austin, Texas and for the Denver Botanic Gardens Annual Pumpkin Festival. She taught K-6 Art and Music for 6 years in the Denver Public Schools. She has a Master’s degree in electronic music composition and an undergraduate degree in classical piano performance, which is put to use once per week in a friend’s basement playing covers of 80’s music.

Alison lives in Denver with her husband, Tony and their adopted Border Collie, Murphy.
